Offensichtlich kann man Nationalhymnen wissenschaftlich vergleichen. Glücklicherweise, denn nun ist es verbrieft, dass unser Schweizerpsalm wohl etwas aus der Zeit fällt, dafür aber sehr friedliebend ist. Dass die fromme Seele Gott im hehren Vaterland ahnt, bietet nun wirklich wenig Angriffsfläche – gut so.
Obviously one can compare national anthems scientifically. Fortunately, because now it is documented that our Swiss Psalm falls somewhat out of time but is very peace-loving. The fact that „the faithful soul knows God in the noble fatherland“ offers really little opportunity for attack – that’s a good thing.
