Die Wellen in der rechten Bildhälfte sind sogenannte Megaripples. Wir alle kennen solche Strukturen im Kleinformat von Schneeverwehungen oder im Sand am Strand. Diese Wellen entstanden als zum Ende der letzten Eiszeit in der Region Davos ein Gletschersee barst, und gewaltige Wassermassen das Landwassertal hinunter schossen. Offensichtlich wurde das Landwasser Viadukt später erstellt.
The waves in the right half of the picture are so-called megaripples. We all know such structures in the small format of snowdrifts or in the sand on the beach. These waves were created when a glacial lake burst in the Davos region at the end of the last ice age, and huge masses of water shot down the Landwasser valley. Apparently the Landwasser viaduct was built later.
