Das ist ein Problem, denn Katzen sind einer der wenigen Jäger, welche aus Freude und nicht nur zur Nahrungsbeschaffung jagen – neben den Menschen vielleicht. Alles was kreucht und fleucht wird aus Spieltrieb umgebracht. Ist zu hoffen, das dies nicht der Grund für die Popularität von Katzen als Haustiere ist.
In urban areas there are about 500 cats per square kilometer. This is a problem, since cats are one of the few hunters that hunt out of joy and not just for food – besides humans perhaps. Everything that creeps and flies is killed out of play instinct. Let’s hope that this is not the reason for the popularity of cats as pets.
