Die Gebäude im Hintergrund sind rund 2000 Jahre jünger als jene im Vordergrund. Was auf den ersten Blick aber kaum erkennbar ist. Von Jerash in Jordanien werden in weitern 2000 Jahren die Bauten der Römer wohl immer noch stehen, während jene im Hintergrund vermutlich einem Erbeben zum Opfer gefallen sein werden. Eine solide Bauweise lohnt sich eben.
The buildings in the background are about 2000 years younger than those in the foreground. At first glance, however, this is hardly noticeable. From Jerash in Jordan the buildings of the Romans will probably still stand in further 2000 years, while those in the background will probably have fallen victim to an earthquake. A solid construction is worthwhile.
