Es ist nicht möglich festzustellen, wann die Sprache erfunden wurde, da sie mit einfachen Lauten begann und während zehntausenden von Jahren zu dem wurde, was sie heute ist: Eines der ganz wichtigen Werkzeuge der Menschheit, um als Gemeinschaft erfolgreich zu sein. Nur reicht Sprache alleine nicht – es braucht noch noch anderen Kitt, wie Empathie, Moral, Vernunft und Gemeinschaftssinn. Das ist wohl einer der Gründe, dass es zu beinahe jedem Thema Konferenzen gibt. Grosse Dinge lassen sich einfach nicht am Telefon besprechen.

Mehr Glücksgefühl geht nicht: Zeitig los und in der Morgenfrische die ersten 600 Höhenmeter machen. Dann ein Trail der so schön ist, dass man kaum zwischen Aussicht und Flow entscheiden kann. Oder eben beides geniesst. Immer wieder anhalten, die Bergluft tief einatmen und sich über die Gefährten wundern, die mal wieder einen Geschwindigkeitsrekord brechen wollen. Glückshormone sind scheue Gesellen, denen man behutsam begegnen sollte.

King Henry VI war ein recht glückloser König, der am Ende gar ermordet wurde.  Doch durch die Gründung der berühmten Schule von Eton im Jahr 1440 hat er sich ein Denkmal geschaffen, welches – anders als bei vielen Monumenten – immer noch glänzt. Etwas Patina hat aber auch dieses Denkmal angesetzt, wie diese Klingel an einem der Boys Häuser schliessen lässt. Trotzdem: Nicht vergessen, den Erstgeborenen schon vorgeburtlich anzumelden. Sonst wird es terminlich eng.
